Dayami Rosales has lived in Florida for the past nine years. She trained as a physician in Cuba, graduating in 1996. She earned her BSN from the University of the Sacred Heart in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 2012, and her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from AGM University’s South Florida campus in Miami Lakes in December 2017.
After working full time as a phlebotomist and laboratory assistant, her passion for nursing grew and led her to continue her education in Miami to pursue her lifelong goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. Her first RN position was at West Gables Rehabilitation Hospital; three years later she also worked as a rehab nurse at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami, in orthopedic perioperative care and rehabilitation medicine, while attending graduate school.
Since graduating in 2017, she has cared for patients of all ages, always focused on patient-centered care, including preventive and curative treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, with special emphasis on educating patients, families and caregivers. She joined Alpha Medicine & Rehab / Allied Family Health in August 2020.
She is affiliated with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. An essential principle of her practice is evaluating each patient holistically, taking into account their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Her motto: “Prevention is better than cure.”
Dayami lives in the Fort Myers area. She enjoys spending time with her partner, family and friends, walking on the beach and in the countryside, and cooking, and she has a special place in her heart for all animals.
